Traveling between the islands while in oahu

How much is the cost of traveling between the islands. We will only be in oahu for 3 full days arriving on Monday night around midnight at our hotel. Friday departure at 1pm so tues, wed, thurs, are the days we have to enjoy the place. I have never been to hawaii and would love to know the best places to visit and how much it will cost to travel from Oahu to Hawaii and what times they leave.

Take a look at www.hawaiianairlines.com . Airfare runs around $80-100 per flight.

IMHO, you don't have enough time to visit another island, though.

First - you are on a tiny sub-forum for the Island of Maui. You will want to re-post on the Island of Oahu.

You do understand that Oahu is one of the Hawaiian Islands, yes?

http://www.hawaiianairlines.com/ For information on the cost of inter-island flights and time schedules, pull up Hawaiian Airlines. They are by far your best option. Understand that you will encounter the full airport process with each flight - so you will waste a huge percentage of your very short visit if you attempt to fly among the Islands..

I would stay put on Oahu, rent a car (reserved) and enjoy this amazing Island with the time you have.

For a good overall read on the Hawaii Islands, pick up a copy of "Hawaii for Dummies," a highly-regarded travel guide that covers all the Islands. And get a good map as well. Pull up www.gohawaii.com. It's terribly commerical, but helpful for first-timers.

Stay in Oahu. Much to do. It is a great place to visit. Where are u staying? There are many tours available. The bus goes around Oahu, good way to see the entire island.

Go to Pink Hotel, sit at bar, see the entire beach.

Get a travel book, it will list so much.

Will you have a car? Pearl Harbor is a must.

You could fly to Maui, but why? Rent a car drive around, you can snorkel in Oahu.

Have fun

Oahu is gorgeous and there are so many things to do. Enjoy its beauty and hopefully you will get to sample other Hawaiian islands in the future.

I agree, if you fly to another island you will waste almost a full day.

Oahu has plenty to do and see! Take a sunset cruise from Waikiki, head to the North Shore and spend a night at the Turtle Bay Resort! There is more on Oahu for less cost than any other island! Pearl Harbor? Great shopping and restaurants. Beautiful scenery away from Honolulu. Stay put.
