I have a few questions about going on safari. I have researched post upon post and searched the internet about clothing and other stuff and i'm a tad confused (not hard really to confuse me though)
Were going in September, I have read it will be hot during the day and cold in the evenings and mornings. How cold is cold? Does it mean bring a cardi, or a light jumper, or does it mean bring something a bit warmer than that.
On the safari it says avoid wearing black and blue as it attracts those horrible fly, thats fine... I can do that, but back in the resort is it best to avoid black and blue again, and do these flys come out at night? Same goes for swimwear, all the lodges that we are staying in have pools, I have a black swimming costume, do I need to buy a different coloured one?
I appreciate in some cultures it's rude to wear bear shoulders, or show off any leg above the knee etc for women. How strict is this, I don't want to offend anybody, but I also don't want to be uncomfortable. I gather it's ok in the resort to wear shorts etc, but say we were headed out, would it be best to cover up?
Clothing for men in the resorts, I understand that my partner has to wear long trousers for dinner, Is he allowed to wear a smart t-shirt, or would it be better for him to wear an actual shirt?
Lunchtimes - We are staying at the Diani Sea Resort, when it's lunchtime is it ok to wear shorts to lunch, or does the same apply as dinner time? Same for women, Is it frowned upon for women to wear shorts to lunch? I just wonder, whilst I would never dream of going to lunch in my swimwear, I just wondered if it was slightly more relaxed?
Spiders.. how common is it you get spiders in your hotel room?
Food - I always, always seem to get a bad belly wherever I go on holiday, immodium doesn't work, can anyone reccommend any other medication?
Thank you in advance and any other tips would be much appreciated.
