Hi,

We are getting married in ayia napa in may 2010 and we have decided to use MedWeds wedding planners to help organise.

We looked in to thomsons and thomas cook but found prices were just too much for our budget. We initially wanted to do it in a hotel but were looking at prices of around £850 just for the wedding. Then we decided on a town hall wedding as prices were around £300 ish depending on who you go with. We then decided to book our flights and hotel through a budget website as i just couldnt find anything for 10-14 nights under £800 or £900. We have now booked our flights and hotel for £880 for the both of us so saved at least £800 doing it that way.

However, the stress of trying to do it all myself got too much for me and have gone to medweds for the help of the organising!!!

We are doing it in a lovely restaurant call the garden of eden ( i know you have chosen protaras, but ayia napa isnt that far, and just giving you an idea, because i had no clue when i started either!!)

Just an idea of prices for you if you chose not to go through agents:

License fee: 281.92 euros

Fee to town hall if on other premises : 150 euros ( think it is more expensive in hotels)

MedWeds fee of 350 euros (they organise everything!)

Then our restaurant fee is 130 for ceremony plus 43 euros per person for a 3 course meal.

I would definately recommend MedWeds if your struggling, rather than a travel agents. They offer loads of extras, or packages depending on your budget.

hope this has been helpful?!

Hiya,

Aphrodite weddings are really good - they have a really good website -

http://www.marriageincyprus.com/protaras.htm

I have worked with Jenny and her team in the past with weddings in Protaras and they are very knowlageable about the area and everything

You can ask 2 million questions and they would just guide you through.

there are alot of prices on the Website and they get much better deals than the biggies like thomson first choice ect...

hope this helps and Congratualtions

Hi there we got married at Nissi Beach Hotel this year. Which I totally recommend as it was fantastic.

If you want to see what its like our video people has our video on their website at http://www.yourweddingvideocyprus.com there are other hotels too. They were brilliant. Laura is the sweetest person ever so if you get married in Cyprus I definately recommend her.

Good Luck

Hi I would recommend you take a look at the Destination Cyprus website, it has lots of excellent information for weddings and definitely not as expensive as some of the wedding planning companies, also they can do all the accommodation.
