It's a great hotel in a very quiet location, on Maxwell Coast Road. About 7-10 minutes walk to Maxwell Main Road where public transportation is widely available. The beach there, Maxwell Beach, is incredible and always enjoyable.

Send a message to footychick who I know has stayed there on several occasions and would be happy to answer specific questions for you.

Hope this helps

We stayed there last Christmas. Nice resort on a beautiful beach. Can second Oistins on a Friday evening.

Maybe there again this year, but wondering can anyone advise of the names of other hotels on that beach? Also, what time to the buses run till?

Sea Breeze Hotel (Exclusive to Virgin Holidays), Ocean One and Maxwell Beach Condominiums immediately come to mind.

The last buses pass on Maxwell Main Road just after 12:30am each day.

The other hotels which front onto the same stretch of beach are the Almond Casuarina and Turtle Beach. Both are AI resorts - just be a bit careful at the moment about the Casuarina as the future of the Almond group is a bit uncertain.

I think that the Bougainvillea is the best hotel on this beach. Be sure of your room choice. Don't forget to get some food from Leroy's van outside the hotel about 12.15 Monday to Friday.

We have 2/3 days pre star clippers cruise next christmas. Bougainvillea is fairly expensive at 215 euro per night. Hilton is about 190. We are drawn towards Bougainvillea as the beach is so nice. The hilton looks nice but is quite isolated.
