Hey.
We are going to M'hamid with a tour with a travel agency and we are only staying 4-5 ours. Can anybody recommend what kind of tour out in the desert we should take? I believe that we can't reach Erg Chigaga in 4-5 ours (of course not). But is there another place, which about the same high standard as Erg Chigaga and which can be reach in 4-5 ours in a jeep (out and back to M'hamid)?
What does your travel agency propose? Surely they are not going to just dump you in M'Hamid for five hours?
There's some cafes and souvenir shops, otherwise not much. You could go into the dunes in a 4x4, immediately west is hamada (stony surface) but then some low 5m high dunes a bit further on. Also a couple of bivis about 3km north west of M'Hamid. Then you could go onto Lak Iriki providing it's dry.
