Hi there whatdyousay. We returned from our first trip to Tigaki in September. Sunbeds were €6 for two and am unbrella. There were day trips to different places and remember the one to Turkey was €15. There's a Greek night at Zia but we only went to see the sunset and you're there for about three hours. Have a look around the shops and have a meal. The coach picks you up from your accommodation and drops you back. This cost €8. (Excluding the meal). Tavernas in Tigaki were very reasonable. There's a little shop on the main street that make up rolls while you wait, ham salad, tuna etc., (Ideal for the beach). I've written a few reviews on some tavernas and one of Zia if you'd like to have a look. Enjoy your break.

Cheers

Denise.

Definitely go to Kos Town - regular buses, plenty of antiquities dotted all around the town on various sites, lovely harbour, castle, Hippocrates tree, and small winding streets leading up from the pedestrianised area more or less opposite the centre of the harbour. Make sure you have a decent street map to make sure you don't miss anything.

Take a walk down from Tingaki to the salt lake - should be plenty of wildlife there at the end of May.

Go to Asklepion, a stunning archaeological site (Hippocrates again!) about 4km fonr Kos Town.

Go on a boat trip. I think they all go from K T but all the shops in Tingaki will offer tours including transfers.

Choose from - 3 island, really 2 (Pserimos and Kalymnos, plus a short swimming stop at Plati).

Nissyros - a hissing volcano which is a good day out.

If you're lucky, you may get a trip offered to Patmos plus a couple of other islands - usually Leros and Lipsi - a long day out full of contrasts.
