I wouldn't get too worked up about the butler service, period. It's very hit or miss (and I think it's a gimmick). You may get a butler that you see once, or you may luck out and get Luis or Victor, who will fall at your feet.
We had a butler-in-training this time. He checked us in (we were OF), so we saw a lot of him at first, but rarely saw him again after that. Victor knew we were there, and told him to give us his best service (Victor's words, not mine), and even then, it was less than what we'd had in the past two visits with Victor as our butler.
ETA: Pretty much everything that a butler says he'll do for you, the concierge in your building can do as well, so even if you have a less-than-stellar butler, you won't be ignored.
