Well, like i see in the map of Thomson i don't think that is so correct the location but if its somewhere there its a very quiet location of Kamari,a little bit far from the beach and the sea but you can always rent a car or a scooter.
If you have a look in the fotos you will understand about the distance of the sea..
Whatever, the choice to come in Kamari and in Santorini is the best.
I wish you nice holidays, check out the the restaurants in kamari page and book a nice excursion in the volcano,or a sunset cruise!!
My wife and I are staying in this villa 16 August for 1 week, if your going after that date I'll post a review when we get back. We booked with Thomsons too, a really good deal.
Hi, booked for 4th of Oct, so look forward to your review.
Well the villa was lovely. When we arrived it was about 10pm and the owners were there to meet us and show us around. There was a welcome basket of food, just the basics bread, milk, eggs, juice and water oh and a bottle of wine. The villa itself is about 15 minutes walk from the beach or 2 mins in the car, there is plenty of free parking right next to Kamari beach so we drove there most of the time. We thought the villa was ideally located, close enough to the beach but far enough away from all the touristy hustle and bustle, of which there is quite a lot especially at night in Kamari. The villa was a good base to travel from with Fira, Oia, Perissa etc really easy to find by car, just be careful of scooters they are crazy and will fly past you regardless of your intended direction. The cleaner was lovely, she came every day with new towels and tidied the villa. The villa was very clean and comfortable with air con, however the air con is only in the main living area and the twin room so the double room can get a bit warm at night. You are overlooked by three apartments but they kept themselves to themselves and we didn't really feel that it was a problem. When lounging by the pool people walking by can see right in to the pool area, the road isn't really that busy with traffic and less busy with pedestrians so that didn't really bother us either. The pool itself is really cold and apparently not capable of being heated (according to the handy boy) but once you got over the initial shock it wasn't too bad. The handy boy actually sleeps under the villa which we didn't discover until the last day, he's very quiet and polite so no need to worry about that. All things considered we had a great holiday and would book to go there again. One word of caution, make sure you mention to europcar every little scratch, no matter how small when you pick your car up, they tried to charge us 90 euros for two small scratches on the underside of the rear number that would have been impossible to see when we picked the car up at night, in the dark. It eventually got waived after we complained and as most of the cars have dents or scratches it pays to be thorough.
If you have any other questions just drop me a line, and I hope you have a good holiday.
Hi, thank you so much for replying, it sounds great! Glad you had a good holiday.
Hi to those who have stayed at Roditis Villa.
I have booked this villa for next year .
My daughter now wants to come too, and it would be good to put her in hotel next door.
Does anyone know/remember the name of the hotel next door?
Hi. We just got back today from Roditis. The place right next door was called 'golden sun studio apartments'.
