buses going north?

We want to visit some of the towns north of Bucerias (Rincon de Guayabitos, Sayulita, La Penita, San Francisco). What's it like taking the bus from Bucerias? Does anyone know approx. cab fare to La Penita?

In January we took a taxi from Guayabitos to Bucerias for $400 pesos. We have also taken the bus from Bucerias to La Penita. You need to take a Pacifico bus from the small bus depot on the highway. The buses are very nice. We enjoyed the bus ride. The bus will drop you off in La Penita and you can either take a taxi from La Penita to Guayabitos or walk to Guayabitos over the bridge. It is worth a trip.

Its really easy to take a bus to Sayulita. Just stand on the highway and look for a bus that says Sayulita on it.

My wife and I went to La Penita last month on the bus.

They run very regularly are clean and modern, and it was an excellent trip.

Fare was around 70 pesos each as I recall.

If you go up to La Penita, go on a Thursday, as that is the day they have their huge market there.

In Bucerias, where do we find the small bus station on the highway to catch the Pacifico bus to La Penita?

It's great to take the bus north of Bucerias to Sayulita--Rincon and farther places north. We took a bus up to San Blas one time--and the taxi ride back cost us about $40.00. But that was years ago--not sure what they would charge now.

The bus station is across the highway from the church in the plaza.
