For rough ideas of times, distances and routes within Costa Rica check out this link:

yourtravelmap.com/costarica/…

It says its about 2 3/4 hours to Nosara and about 125 km.

The above link is good as a starting point. However experienced drivers may give you other tips or information.

Hermosa is a nice area. Coco, not as nice of a beach, but has a fun town. You might want to check out rentals in Tamarindo as well. We have an amazing beach, great town and great waves.

We just came back from Playa Hermosa. Lovely beach beautiful and quiet. Coco is only 10 minutes away by car and has everything you need in terms of groceries and restaurants. There are a couple of good restaurants in Hermosa as well
