November a good time to travel?

We are planning a small tour of Sicily late October, early November.

We are planning:

Agrigento 1 night - Villa faro

Noto 2 nights - Masseria de gliulivi

Giarre 2 nights - Etna hotel

Contrada Susafa - Masseria Susafa

Trapani - Bablio Fontana

I have seen that many hotels and restaurants close November 1st.

Does that also apply to sights and museums? Would you recomend travelling in November or should we postpone to spring 2010?

Thanks in advance for your help.

1. Re: November a good time to travel?

November is low season, the rainy season, short hours of daylight….

Sites will be open, but outdoor venues close with darkness which is early in November.

Weather in October/ November:

Autumn is a good time for cultural pursuits, but…

Spring is a glorious time to visit Sicily – Mid-April and May, and also September.

What is the best month to visit Sicily?:

Best Wishes!
