Set meal times ?

Sorry if this sounds a stupid question, but although we have done AI before , we have never had set meal times at 2 sittings.

We are staying at the Riu Vistamar in September.

If we are allocated the 6.30 slot, Is it regimentalised and do you have to be sitting down at 6.30 or can you stroll in around 7.30? Wouldnt like the 8.30 one as think thats too late to eat and get out to get a decent seat anywhere.

Hope someone who's stayed there can help.

You'll have no problem changing your meal time to the later slot. Your table is allocated to you and you keep that spot for all of your stay but you can ask to change it at any time as they bend over backwards here to please you. Nothing there is regimented so during your 2 hour slot it's up to you, if you're late it's no problem. You can get up and go for a stroll out onto the terrace taking your drink with you at any time, it really is nice there and the food and choice of it is outstanding, enjoy !!!!!

P.S. Don't forget to go to reception at any time to get your bottled water for your room's mini fridge as it's included in your price.

Mondeo1, Thank you very much for your reply, its put my mind at rest. Only booked yesterday for 14th September. Been to PR before but SC, and have always liked the look of this hotel.

Been reading the reviews and tips, so will be emailing for high floor if poss.

Do you know if there are 2 sittings in the speciality restaurant also ?

Thanks

I would'nt say the themed restaurant nights are in a special restaurant it's actually up in the poolside restaurant, personally the times we tried it, it was nothing really special but hey that's up to you. I can't really remember about sitting times up there but it was always far quieter than the main dining hall. The main dining hall is also open for lunch too with no fixed table times but choice of food then is much less than the evening set up. Most people use the poolside restaurant foods on offer during the day as it's just so convenient in fact too convenient. You find yourself picking at it all the time as you pass by going back and for to the loo or to get another drink, it's all to easy. Beers, wines, soft drinks all there on tap for you to help yourself it really is aweful giving yourself all that abuse l.o.l. !!!!!!

Here, there and...

You can also prebook for both sittings to eat in the Mirador restaurant. See the maitre d' at the entrance to the main restaurant.

Ask for floor 5 Amadores view if you can.
