where to stay in rhodes bit confused mixed reviews!!!

me and boyfriend both in 20s are looking to book a holiday to rhodes asap!!! was umming and arring over mareblue cosmopoliton hotel in ixia but seems that ixia is windy, bad beach and not alot to do judging by reviews!! then looked at luca cypria in falaraki which had good reviews, despite complaints that not many english stay there but am not sure if we would enjoy falaraki!? we would enjoy 'adult' holiday not too many small children but not crazy clubbing!! something young nice beach daytime activities lively but couple friendly nightlife. wonder if any rhodes experts out there coiuld help! thanks x

The best thing about Ixia is it's proximity to Rhodes Town, great if you want to spend a lot of time there as it's only a short bus/taxi ride away. The resort itself is popular with families/older couples and I wouldn't recommend it to a couple in their 20s, unless you're just using you're hotel as a base.

Faliraki offers much of what you're looking for though I can't comment on your particular hotel. There are still party bars and clubs but there's a lot of quieter places too (especially at the end of Faliraki Luca Cypria is based).

You might also consider Lindos or Pefkos which both offer great beaches and a good choice of restaurants and bars without being 18-30s. Pefkos tends to get more families but all of course depends on when you choose to visit. If it's school holidays, all resorts will have lots of children about.
