“ Santorini for any age plus any ideas re lost camera pics ? ”

Just returned from a wonderful week, Perissa was our base and we loved it ,I posted a topic a few some months ago as I was worried about being an OAP amongst July party people there was no need to worry.In Perissa you can find just the right place for any age.We recommend the friendly guys at Question bar on the sea front just buy a couple of drinks and you get free sunbeds etc all day,not many of the bars do this .the only sad thing was the loss of our camera we think in Imerovigli the previous day we had taken the trip to the Caldera and we lost all these pictures and of course the beautiful sunset pictures.I got post cards to replace our photos to bring back but the one thing I couldent find was the amazing shots we took of the crowds faces as they looked up and the streets just full of people does anyone have anything I could view by email ?Still had one of the best holidays though and our plane had a fault so we got an extra day !!

Hello

We have also just returned from a fantastic trip to Santorini. We had taken lots of beautiful pictures too, but on the boat trip to the caldera our camera was also lost/stolen. We had it at the volcano then (stupidly) left it in our beach bag whilst we swam in the hot springs. It was only on our return to our hotel that we realized that the camera was no longer in the bag.

It's not really the loss of the camera that bothers me (although it was only three months old) but the loss of the memory card with all our wonderful pictures, especially a meal in Fira where my boyfriend proposed.

I guess no matter how safe and friendly a place seems there will always be thieves about waiting for their opportunity.

Sorry to hear that Mango.

Yeah no matter where in the world there will always be an oppertunist about. I always make sure I keep my bag with me at all times or my fiance has his eye on it.

Next year i'm going to invest in an underwater camera so I can take it in when I go for a swim :)

Im so sorry to hear about your camera your memory card would have really had irreplaceable memories that postcards couldent replace!Im beginning to think that our camera could have been stolen too I didnt want to think this.The last time we had it could have been when we dozed in sun loungers on the beach and our empty smoothie cups had been whisked away .So another warning to everyone its so sad .
