Dengue Fever in Santa/Montezuma

Just got back from week in Santa. Took a daytrip to see the waterfalls in Montezuma and got bit by several mosquitos. What are the chances of getting dengue? I hear dengue runs rampant in these areas.

Santa? What is the actual name of the place where you were.

As for dengue -- you will definitely know if you get it. Flu-like. If you start getting symptoms, go to the doctor and tell him/her that you have been in an area that has dengue.

Next time, wear mosquito repellent as has been recommended here about a million times.

Oh, OK. Well, yes, there is dengue in those areas so be sure to follow up if you start getting sick. You can look up the symptoms on the internet. And if you go to the dr, be sure to say you have been in an area that has dengue so it is not misdiagnosed as "just the flu" or something else.
