Hi me and my gf are in montezuma at the moment and we dnt know where to go next..either santa Teresa or Mal pais ..I am leaning towards st because things are closer together ie bars shops beacuse we have no care.and also do u need a driving lience for an atv? Any help would be grateful
Santa Teresa..... you are quite right that everything is a bit closer together and the beach is much nicer and it is convenient when you don't have a car.
Yes, you need a dirvers license for an atv.

Thanks for your help .I was looking at meli melo looks very nice and well priced ..ah im very disappointed I left my drivers lience at home sounds like great fun.and great way to get around..so u recomend Santa Teresa?

Meli Melo is close to many stores, the beach and restaurants. You won't need any transportation unless you intend on going off exploring. Perhaps rent a bicycle if you want to get around.....

We recently traveled to CR and Santa Teresa was more our style. It is off the beaten path, even though a little strip mall was recently built, but still had services within walking distance that we wanted...grocery store, small restaurants, etc. The grocery has pretty much everything you need. Mal Pais is a bit more remote…not really navigatable on foot. Mal Pais has very few restaurants/services. However, if we were serious surfers or really wanted to be away from it all, we probably would have liked Mal Pais better.
