Booking a Hotel-Hotel website or a hotel booking website?

Im looking for a hotel in Batu Ferringhi and at the moment Ive shortlisted the Holiday Inn. This is mainly as it appears to be better priced than some of the other beachfront hotels and seems to have generally good reviews. There is also mention of the hotel rooms being refurbished recently.

Is the hotels website the best place to make a booking or can anyone please suggest a good hotel booking site where some good deals can be found?

Many Thanks.

We stay at HI when visiting BF. As stated their prices are very competitive. The Hotel site is where we book and they offer a 'Best Price Guarantee'. I suggest that you join their Priority Club rewards as its free. See

Holiday Inn is part of IHG and for individual bookings, I doubt that you can get a cheaper rate than the hotel's website as they do offer a "price guarantee".

If you take a look at some of the booking websites, the prices that they quoted is linked to Holiday Inn's website.

For Corporate accounts and their regular travel agents, there are discounted rates, where the price guarantee will then be void.

I always cut out the middle man and book straight through the hotel.

Happy trails
