Oh, My, when we were there the food was delicious, but then again we are not very fussy and there was such a selection of food, no one should go hungry.

What has changed there, no the kids did not have a menu when were were there either but every meal there were plenty of "kid" foods available.

So sorry u did not like it there.

We just loved it!

could you please elaborate a bit more to substantiate why you didn't like it other than the food. Buffet's are buffets...hit and miss...

we went in casablanca & it was nice but we had to wait for ages for the food. I found this the worst all inclusive i have ever been to, i found shell in my egg not little bits either. ants on the pinapple. The food was same every dinner ie: spag bol, snapper, rice. The soups was nice & the puddings was good. it was the worst choice of food little selection what so ever, infact worst selection iv ever had. They ran out of food & drinks, we was sat at tables with no knifes n forks, then had to wait ages for them. they ran out of plates one day. The sea grill wasnt to bad but they also ran out of food & drinks, had no burgers one day & even ran out of water, coke etc. I heard a lot of people complaining, not just english either. One couple said they had been ther 2days & hated it, another said it was there 7th time at starfish & after this time would never return.

We was meant to go to hilton in egypt which is a million times better & i prefer egypt itself. If it wasnt for XL we would have been there. We was lucky to get a holiday & was given this.

im glad iv been jamaica but i probably wouldnt go back & i defantly wouldnt go back to starfish.

We ALWAYS go all inclusive & i have never been to an all inclusive like this.

I was there from the sept 19 to sept 28 and everything was good this is a 3 star not a 5 star yes some time you had to wait when you when to eat you were to wait for a seat if you just when and seat down then you would wait because you should wait to be seated so they could clean the table and set it

Hubby and I also just got back a few weeks ago and had no problem with the food, in fact we thought it was very good and always plenty of a selection to choose from. We always go to all inclusive and did not have a problem at all. Of course it wasn't the Hilton in Egypt, so with that I will say no more.

I'm surprised your travel agent would substitute the Hilton for the Starfish...I'm sure they are in totally different categories... I guess you were expecting more. I'm not expecting anything more than a 3*... I'm also aware that on the Islands its common for things to run out and also Jamaica man is traditionally slow .... no?? Anyway not slamming you or anything...thank you for your candid opinion. I'm really not worried about going there in January! As long as they have and nice beach, cold beer and hot jerk....mmmmmmmmmmm

plenty of beer & the beach is gorgeous!!

yes they travel agent did we only had one week to get somewhere. If id of booked origanly we wud of booked a 4 or 5* but as we didnt even plan to go we took anything to get a holiday. weather was better than england so not to bad. I know its not the hilton but i did expect more. i have stayed in 3star hotels in bulgaria cyprus & spainsh isles & this is the worst by far.

yes jamaica is slow & laid back but i dont think it should be when theres no drinks or food.

its just a cheap holiday really & cheap hotel. shame there was no flights to egypt because we would of still gone there!

as for the seating we did wait as we always do in hotels we normally go to, but when theres those silly conferences on with over 100 jamaican chruch woman there, there was no room to sit & had to queue for food like i was back at school for a good 20mins!!

at the end of the day i spose you get what you pay for, & i wish i payed more & stayed somewhere else. glad u guys enjoyed your holiday though.

As a return guest at this resort, I've always found the food quite good and also a a nice variety. I too am not a fussy person, and found the buffet and grill more than adequate. I can't comment on the other places as I felt no need nor any desire to go to them. I know in the buffet there is a special area on the left as you are facing the buffet that has "kid" foods. Also, it's never been the same foods day in and day out, and they've never run out of anything...when I've been there.. Between the delicious drinks and food, I always seem to take home a few x-tra pounds. Sorry your visit wasn't what you expected/anticipated. Personally, I can't wait to get back! 21 days......
