TheBus #19 and #20 goes by the Victoria Ward Centers on Ala Moana Blvd. Tell the bus driver that you want to go to Sports Authority so he knows when to tell you to get off. Seat close to the driver. The bus stop at the corner of Ala Moana and Ward Avenue, kiddie corner from Fisherman's Wharf and Kewalo Basin is a few minutes walk to Sports Authority. Get off the bus and walk mountain (mauka) pass Wahoo Taco's and Sports Authority is located in the parking lot. To return, catch the bus going to Waikiki Hotels, across the street from Starbucks on Auahi Street. If you are going to be less than a couple of hours, get a transfer to use for your return trip to Waikiki. Good luck,

While you are there, you can visit Ward Warehouse which is right across the street, and Ross Dress for Less which is right next door.

I would make sure to allocate a little time for this area - when I visited, I arrived about 4pm and left about 7:30 and I still did not see everything I wanted to see. That sports authority is like a temporal vortex and I got sucked in.

For more on Ward Warehouse -

Also, you might want to check if they have an event on when you are going to be on Oahu and make that be the time you go if they do. Once a month on the second Saturday they have Discover Kaka'ako - www.wardcenters.com/Events/default.html

Also in the area is Honolulu night market - http://www.honolulunightmarket.com and I believe Eat The Street is not too far away - http://www.streetgrindz.com
