We will be arriving at the Providence airport around 8:30 pm-we will picking up a rental car and then heading to a hotel. We would like to find a hotel near the airport. We will be going to Newport the next day. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

My suggestion would be just keep heading to Newport, it's only about another 30 - 40 minutes away, easy drive.....but if budget or other reasons make that impossible, there are several hotels by the airport: Sheraton, Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Embassy Suites, Raddisson.....the airport is technically in Warewick, RI, so you would want to do a search in Warwick.
