Public Transportation to Sandia Peak or Petroglyph M?

I am coming to Albuquerque early April for a conference total 4 days.

I want to see take the Sandia Peak Tramway and visit Petroglyph National Monument, but not sure how I can get there from Hyatt hotel without driving myself, since I don't plan to rent a car.

Is there any bus going there? or is taking cab a reasonable choice?

Thanks!

Sandia Tram has no public transportation access and getting to Petroglyph I think will require a bit of walking from public transportation.

Thanks. I just found out that the tram will be closed from April 1-19:-(

Then I guess I have to change my plan and ask another question:

I love to see the mountains. So without the tram, is there any other place you suggest me to go to see the mountains?

I followed some older post and some folks suggested Follow the Sun tours http://www.ftstours.com.

Any of their tours may get me to see the nature? http://www.ftstours.com/day-tours.htm? Thanks:-)
