New to this forum, so I apologize if this question has been asked previously.
My fiancee and I are thinking about traveling to Anchorage for our honeymoon. We would be coming up the second week of August if we make the trip. While doing some research, I noticed August seems to be the wettest month with almost 3" of rain on average. I realize the 3" of rain is spread out over an entire month, but that still seems like an awful lot of rain. I would hate to travel all the way up there and not be able to enjoy the outdoor activities Alaska has to offer.
Looking for some opinions; should we go elsewhere for our honeymoon and plan to go to Alaska at a different time of year to ensure to get the most out of our Alaska adventure? IIs the rain quick passing showers or heavy downpours at that time of year? Any advice or opinions would be helpful. Thanks is advance
