Here in a nutshell is the problem with walking late at night....you are tired, it is dark and if you take a wrong turn or misstep, it is a bigger problem than in the daylight. Yes, if you LIVE in Seattle and know your way around it just is so easy to say go ahead and walk, but seriously how can you tell someone who is unfamiliar with the streets to do that? No way would I ever give that advice to a guest coming to Seattle. Everything sounds so easy on paper, but actually getting the job done while dragging a suitcase is a whole other thing or am I the only person who ever gets turned around coming out of the transit tunnels? And I was there when they were designed and opened....love ''em. ...but they can be seriously hard to navigate in . Late night travel in an unfamiliar city is exactly what cabs are for.
