Visiting Bellevue WA for an evening to celebrate my 6 year anniversary. Looking for a restaurant in Bellevue or Seattle for dinner. Pretty flexible for price but would prefer mains around $30 or less.
Our go-to in Seattle was always Amores > Amore Infused but it has closed down due to a fire.
We would prefer a hole-in the wall type restaurant over chains.
Any help would be appreciated.

Our current favorite hole in the wall place in Bellevue is Facing East. I don't know if it is as fancy as you'd like for a special occasion but the food is excellent and the service us good. The interior is designed and fresh.
Other places in Bellevue would include el Gaucho and the Purple Cafe. Din Tai Fung is interesting.
I really like Purple a lot, but can be a bit noisy. If you're looking for a more cozy place, I would suggest Cantinetta.
If you don't need the dinner to be downtown, you can't go wrong with Revel in Freemont. The food is unique and tasty. It almost makes me wish I ate meat, as there is something lovely cooking on the grill outside all the time.
