Hi Folks -- We'll be travelling to Honolulu and BI from Aug 4-19, with 1 week on Waikiki at a conference (Hilton Hotel). Rest of the time will be in a condo in Kona area. We are looking to get swimming lessons for our almost 7-year old - private would be best. He has already had lessons 2 years ago, but hasn't really swum since -- definitely not in the ocean. Any suggestions? If he had a few intensive lessons, I think he'd be confident enough to snorkel in protected areas.
Also, any suggestions for good kid-oriented activties? VNP, of course. Place of Refuge? Would a coffee farm tour be interesting to 10 and 7 year old boys? Mostly, this is a vacation, not a sight-seeing tour... but we'd hate to miss out on something special! Also, any thoughts about renting a small boat (with or without another group) for snorkeling, etc.? Also, any info on kid-friendly Honolulu? Thanks so much!
