same beef holds true for any highway you travel-- just more space to let the rude ones by! More difficult when it's a narrow winding road, I know. We are fortunate enough to travel off season to places-- no kids at home-- I LOVE it! Nothing better than getting stuck behind some fat RV who will not let anyone past or some pushy moron taking up most of your side of the road as well as thier own! Or... someone pushing from behind wanting to go faster. We just pull over and let those people by (and we are not typically slow pokes) But-- it's a road or park to enjoy???
Ever been thru Cades Cove in the Smokies? I think I had my worst "road rage" there. Nevermind that every 3 feet is a sign that says to NOT stop in the road... nevermind that there are LOTS of pulloffs.... Idiots.... MULTIPLE idiots... would slam on the brakes, throw open the doors and block the road to get a photo of anything and everything. GRRRRR.... trust me, making it a one way wouldn't solve the issue. I'm surprised there aren't a million rear end collisions in Cades Cove every year. I know I was personally tempted to deliberately ram a few! :)
Rules do not make for more polite drivers. Even if it were one way, you'd have rude idiots. Jack***es are jack***es regardless of the rules.
