The Festival, which I have never attended, is in Woldenberg Riverfront Park, where Conti St runs into the River bank, between the Upper French Quarter and the River, between the Aquarium/Imax and Steamboat Natchez dock.

pet, after y'all drop your bags off at the hotel, just head toward Jackson Square. You'll see Cafe Du Monde on the "river" side of Decatur street...just walk up the steps beside CDM to the walkway along the river and keep walking away from your hotel toward Canal St...you can't miss the OF!!

Loop, you should check the OF out...good food, good music and the proceeds go to good causes! Wetland preservation and (at least the first year, anyway) LA fishermen and oyster farmers who got screwed by BP's lack of insight and greediness. The oysters taste even sweeter when you know you have folks like P &J supporting the festival/educating people on the importance of LA oyster farmers AND providing the oysters! It's a total win-win situation...we get to try dishes from tons of great restaurants and we help support causes we believe in both by our purchases and our donations!
