I just booked a hotel room thru Travelocity for our December trip and I think it was a great deal. Three nights at Hotel Provinicial (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) for $251 which includes taxes and fees...and the big bonus, parking is included in the price, something that usually costs over $20 per night. They have specials for a lot of New Orleans hotels, but this one worked out best for me. So if you are looking for a deal on a hotel room, you might take a look at Travelocity.

To jump on the deals bandwagon, now that the Southwest sale is over, I'd also recommend checking Orbitz.com for flights. I'm getting a bunch of roundtrip fares for under $200 to/from New Orleans!
