We are passionate supporters of the Born Free Foundation and have just returned from our second visit to South Africa on a Born Free Foundation holiday to visit all of their rescued big cats at Shamwari Game Reserve.
It has always been our dream to visit Elsa's grave and walk in the footsteps of George & Joy Adamson and Elsa. It is my 50th birthday next year and we would love to visit Elsa's Kopje and Kora where George had his camp.
We have started to do some investigations on the internet but a lot of companies just include it for a couple of nights on their itinerary. We have been to Kenya twice before and ideally would like to just spend all of our time at Elsa's Kopje, although it does look very expensive. I just wondered if anyone could give me any info on the companies they have booked with or any recommendations about the best way to plan a trip like this from the UK. On all of our previous visits to Africa we have always been on organised tours so don't have any experience of trying to organise a specialised trip.
