Anybody know of any nice cabins in the Grand Marais area that accept dogs and allow you to stay only one night? The weekend I can get away has meetings till the end of day on Friday so cant leave till early Saturday morning.

Have you tried Devils track lodge? They have some cabins...not sure about the dog friendly policy though. Or, try calling the Grand Maris info center. I bet they'd know who allows dogs.
Gunflint Lodge is pet friendly and has cabins. But it is 40 miles out the Gunflint Trail from Grand Marais.
We stayed with a dog at Cascade Lodge, would not be too far
