We will be cruising from Brooklyn (not until October). Any advice on a hotel near the cruise terminal? Things to do? Transport from the hotel to the terminal? We’ve been in NY a number of times but never in Brooklyn. We will be in Brooklyn one full day prior to the cruise.
While there are plenty of hotels in Brooklyn, there aren't many near the cruise terminal. This is one:

Remember that Brooklyn is significantly larger than Manhattan; if you want to stay in Brooklyn it's better to stay closer to downtown, where there are many more subway lines that can take you to various neighborhoods in the borough or to the other boroughs.
