For the runners that have come for the marathon, that has now been cancelled... am sooooooooooooo sorry.

Would you like to help get NJ, NY and CT?

Tomorrow, in Sheepshead Bay, we are meeting at the Holocaust Park at 10:30. We need your help, we would love your help. I can't promise much right now (a warm room, a shower, 20 mins for the airport...I am in Brooklyn). BUT, I can promise you great love from NY and a warm, never forgotten welcome back...always.

Good luck with the clean up operation. From what we have seen it is a major task and our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We are due to arrive in Brooklyn on Christmas Day for 10 days and will do everything in my power to stimulate your economy!

I haven't been on TA for a while and just came on today and saw your post. It is a real shame that not one of the marathoners offered any help. I hope they can live with their conscience.

Did you miss that THOUSANDS of marathoners went to Staten Island the day of the marathon in order to volunteer, along with the staff of Road Runners? The fact that no one wanted to volunteer on the little-read Brooklyn forum for a random strangers personal clean-up project when there was no way to get there doesn't say anything at all about whether help was offered.
