I am a philly native who just moved to LA. I am coming home for Thanksgiving and I arrive Thursday morning around 6:15. I am traveling to Reading for Thanksgiving, but I would love to stop in the city and get Breakfast beforehand. Does anybody know of any places that might be open?

Melrose Diner, 15th & Snyder.

Avoid the chains such as Denny's and IHOP as they tend to be mobbed.

If you want something nicer than diner atmsophere, I'm sure that all the hotels will be open and serving breakfast.

Thanks, I figured Melrose would be open. I probably should just call some of my old favorites, but the real question is whether anybody knows if Anne's food cart on 18th between Sansom and Chestnut will be open? I use to live above DiBruno Bros. and that lady makes a mean Ham, egg and cheese.

I'd be very surprised to see a food cart on Thanksgiving. I can't recall every seeing it happen.

Thanks again, I also figured she would probably be making ham, egg, and cheeses on a long roll with onions and peppers for her family. If any of you like breakfast sandwiches like this, definitely give her try. Not only is she an awesome cook, but one of the nicest people I have met in Philly.
