Yes. It is possible, but be prepared for a very long and boring drive. It is all freeway. You can go for miles and miles without seeing a stop for food or gasoline, so watch your gas tank. Fill up even if you think you can go just a bit farther. I do believe your time of about 10 hours is close.

no prob, just leave in the early am and take along yer favorite music as the radidio goes kinda neo-christian not to far outta the big D. don't forget your favorite road snackies as the eating is kinda greasy (lol). it is an easy 9-10 hours good dry weatherand if the weather is iffy it can take 12 when bucking headwinds on the road. go to mapquest.com

Personally found the drive very very scenic....

1041kms to be precise...

use the interstate 10 out of elpaso upto exit 187 then interchange 20.

its a simple and straight forward drive.

major cities enroute - odessa-midland, abilene, fort worth then finally dallas.

the interstates generally skirts the major cities or cuts thru as a highway - so you never really go into a suburb. U just zip thru.

its a major road all the way so 70 to 75mph - so about 10hr drive.

You can do the trip faster than this. Traffic is pretty minimal after Midland. Know that the speed limit past Midland increases to 80 mph all the way to El Paso.
