We booked at this hotel through Expedia due to go in a couple of weeks.
I emailed the manager to ask for a room with a good view. She replied that we were in the East Tower, but could pay to upgrade to a better room
This didn't inspire me with confidence, so I checked the reviews and am horrified. Many reports of dirty, dated rooms.
We weren't aware at the time that one part of the hotel is superior to the other. We can't afford the upgrade and frankly, we feel we've paid enough.
The photos on the site when we booked we have since found out are of the more expensive rooms in the west tower, with no indication that you're booking in the inferior part of the hotel.
We're really worried and feel we've been cheated.
I'm on the verge if cancelling our booking. Has anyone stayed recently in the east tower who can reassure me that its not that bad?
