There are much, much better hotels than the Old Town Inn, that I think has a terrible location on a very busy, very wide highway. it isn't even in Old Town.
Riff mentioned La Pensione, and that would be my first recommendation. It is a European style boutique hotel in the middle of Little Italy with restaurants literally right out the front door of the hotel.
The Best Western Plus Bayside Inn is nice too, not quite as well located as La Pensione and the Wyndham is a great location right across from the cruise port.
If I was looking in Old Town, I would want to actually be in Old Town so I could easily walk to the restaurants there, spots like the Fairfield Inn, Best Western Plus Hacienda and maybe the Courtyard.
