Logan Express Bus to Copley Square -use the MBTA 7day-pass?

Upon our arrival into Logan Airport Terminal E on Friday, Jul18th, we are planning to take the Logan Express Bus to Copley Square. We are also planning to buy a 7-day MBTA pass.

Questions:

1. Can we buy the MBTA pass in Terminal E?

2. If so, where is the location of the fare vending machine in the terminal E? (looked at the map and can't find it)

3. Can we use the 7-day pass on the Logan Express bus?

I've sent out these questions to the Logan Airport and MBTA Customer Service team but haven't heard back so I'm trying the Boston Forum. Thanks for your help.

Just returned from our fabulous Boston adventure and want to, once again, thank everyone from Trip Advisor, for their invaluable help. Also wanted to let others know that, even though the official Logan Airport map does NOT show the existence of a MBTA Fare Vending Machine in Terminal E -- there is one. (You'll find it as you exit the Baggage Claim area. Head towards the Visitor Info kiosk (past the restrooms on the right) and then look to the right. It's up against the wall at the far right of the terminal building. And it dispenses 7-day passes (for $19ea as of July 1/14) that you can use on the Logan Express buses. Great deal, considering that the Logan Express fare would be $5ea way, if you had to pay separately!

Thanks again everyone for your collective help!

We are arriving in Boston this Sunday for four days and plan to buy the 7 day pass. We are staying at the Boston Plaza Hotel. Any thoughts on taking the Silverline to South St. and then transferring on the subway to the Arlington stop? Or would taking the Logan Express to Copley Square, then walking (it says 7 minutes) to the hotel be more efficient? We will have a suitcase on wheels and are able to walk easily....

@Relaxinthesun: Not sure what you're asking, as there are two hotels -- the Copley Plaza and the Park Plaza. Guessing from the "7 minutes" hint that you mean the Park Plaza. In either case, you're better off taking the Back Bay Express bus into town. Get off in front of the Copley Plaza hotel. If that's your destination, voila. But if you want the Park Plaza, it is an easy "7 minute" walk if you have roller luggage. Unless it's raining; then it's a bit far, about four long blocks. Re the Sliver Line route: It's the long way with two subway connections.

Thanks for the quick response, Firewind! That's exactly what I wanted to know. Yes, we are staying at the Park Plaza and I kind of figured the two subway connections might be the long way, especially with luggage...the Back Bay Express it is! We are arriving into Terminal B, so I'm sure we will be able to find the MBTA Fare vending machine as well as the Express bus. Looking forward to exploring Boston! (Thanks to Toronto for starting this thread - lots of good info.)

FYI, SL1 and Back Bay Express buses both have luggage racks, but regular T trains do not. This is not a huge problem on the Red Line trains (which are traditional subway trains), but trying to ride the Green Line (which is light rail) with luggage could be a challenge.
