Concert & late night T

My husband and I have tickets to the Boston Strong Concert. Unfortunately we have two single seats in totally different areas, but whatever. My husband wants to get there via T. My concern is that with so many acts planned the show will run very late. My husband argues that they won't shut the SUBWAY while the concert is still going on. I say that in this era of budget constraints, they won't keep it going.

What is your opinion?

Unless you hear otherwise in advance, I would anticipate that the T will operate on its prescribed schedule. So do make plans accordingly. We've had that happen with baseball games that went into multi-extra innings. Maybe you would want to consider driving into Boston. Center Plaza doesn't have "special" event rates and it's a pretty easy walk to and from the Garden.

The whole country if not world will be watching, and attending, so hopefully extra measures to accommodate people will be taken. Your question would be best directed to the mbta.

I agree with Alan. They'll probably say on the news if the T will be running later if it is. I would just plan on the regular schedule for now.

Forgotmyoword,

Where are your seats? I have single seats, too, maybe we can switch tickets?

I am a big fan of the MBTA system in general, but they are generally woefully unresponsive in adding late night service for concerts at the Garden.

I would hop on their site and fill out the customer comment questionnaire and ask them this question. I've used this feature several times and they are very good about responding. Besides, maybe your question will trigger something with them.

My husband and I also have single tickets. Wouldn't it be nice if we could get together and mix and match! LOL I also have one floor and one lodge.

Unreal. I know two other couples (in "real" life) in this situation. They should have an inside the gate swap zone.
