Ideas for a location for a very small wedding in March

New to the area and need ideas for a venue for a small (20 people) wedding. Weekday in March. Ideally a location that could serve as wedding location/or near & dinner/drinks. Thx!

There must a million places that match your description. We'll really need a whole lot more criteria if we're going to really be able to help you.

We want an intimate venue for a family only wedding (numbers will be around 20-30). Late afternoon or evening, Wednesday the 13th. Nervous about weather in March so most park options are not viable. Would love some ideas for unique indoor wedding or patio options that would be able to host ceremony as well as dinner/drinks after. We'll be hosting a much larger celebration later in the year but the date 3-13 is special to us. Needs to be in Boston metro.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Chances are very good that you will not be able to find a patio that is open in March - really, the weather might be warm enough in May, but even that is iffy :-) You could check out the Museum of Fine Arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

Well...Boston Metro is a large target as well. Are you looking South, North or West preferrably?

Here are some ideas for you that I personally think are cool:

Barker Tavern in Scituate. It's a restored 17th century tavern and they specialize in Weddings: http://www.barkerweddings.com/

the Crane Estate in Ipswich. Can't find a more beautiful spot for a wedding. They have various venues to accommodate anywhere from 16 to 400 people.

Wayside Inn in Sudbury: Again, an historic tavern with a lovely setting and very romantic (my cousin was married there...)

There's one North, South and West location for you...

We had our wedding reception at the Atlantica in Cohasset. It was 80 people, so obviously more than you mention, but a beautiful venue. We got married outside at another location, but had the weather been bad, the ceremony would've been inside the restaurant. It's on Cohasset harbor and absolutely beautiful. Not sure if you're on a budget or not as the place is pricey.

Check out the Taj Hotel in Boston. They have a rooftop (enclosed) party area that is nice. I went to a wedding there recently. The space really consists of two areas, so you could separate the ceremony from a cocktail reception or something like that.

The Boston Harbor Hotel has a Rotunda just for that purpose that sits right on the Harbor. Beautiful views 360 degrees for the wedding and then you can have a lunch or reception in the hotel proper.

Mistral has a great private room. You could also check out Hampshire House, and the Old State House rents for small events. Or maybe try a private room at one of the Liberty Wharf places like Legals or 75, if you're looking for a view.
