4 days for your entire trip or is the SF stop just part of the trip?
4 days is just part of the trip. Plan to go to Anaheim( how to get from Ananheim to Orange County? is there a good safe and cheap hotel in Little Saigon area?) for 3 days and 4 days in Las Vegas. We went to East Coast few years ago so this time will visit around West Coast.
4 days is enough time to explore SF. There is much more to see in Northern CA than San Francisco. If you want to see the Wine Country add 2 days, for Yosemite add 3-4 days, for Monterey add 2-days. It depends on your interests. But 4 days in San Francisco is sufficient to explore the city. Parc 55 is a fine hotel. Blend of business and vacation travelers.
HongLam asks if «4 days will be enough?»
No! You need nine days for a proper visit. Please see the DON'T-MISS SIGHTS IN SAN FRANCISCO page at http://geocities.com/touringsfo/
«Is Parc 55 hotel good?»
There is no better-located fancy hotel here.
«Plan to go to Anaheim ( how to get from Ananheim to Orange County?)»
I'm pretty-sure Anaheim is in Orange County.
Please visit the DRIVING DIRECTIONS page geocities.com/touringsfo/…DriveDir.html It's augmented by reports linked to the TouringSFO site at http://geocities.com/touringsfo/ entitled "A Trip to Las Vegas…" and "A Trip to Anaheim…"
And the page entitled A BIT OF NON-GAMBLING LAS VEGAS at the same site.
SwingCha: Thank you so much. The web site sure give me lots of info. Until then, still research and it good to do so.
btw I like your avatar: it's what I am going to see :D
This was in the SF Chronicle this morning (March 12) ...
$30 million remodel under way at Parc 55
The Parc 55 Hotel San Francisco has begun a $30 million renovation of its 1,010 rooms, along with 18 suites, the lobby, Club Level facilities on the top six floors and meeting space.
The hotel, across Market Street from the Westfield San Francisco Centre, was built 25 years ago. It is owned and operated by Highgate Holdings in partnership with Rockpoint Group LLC, an investment management firm.
As part of the renovation, the reception desk will move from the street level to the second floor.
The hotel will remain open during the renovation, which will be done in stages.
There are hotels around the Lil Saigon neighborhood but not in it. Not sure what you consider cheap but these are close to Bolsa Ave (main Lil Saigon drag):
Days Inn Anaheim
Ramada Plaza - Garden Grove
Princess Inn -- Huntington Beach
Hotel Huntington -- Huntington Beach
