This year our October trip to MDI was the second week of October -- a bit early for "prime" foliage, but a terrific visit nonetheless. Some highlights included: hiking the South Ridge of Cadillac (in four hours, I might add; "someone" was eager to get home for a SF Giants game that afternoon), a visit to the Bartlett Winery in Gouldsboro, and a terrific lobster pot pie at Fiddler's Green restaurant in Southwest Harbor. We enjoyed our time in Bar Harbor, too, where I was able to find a lovely gift for a good friend at Spruce and Gussy on Mount Desert Street.
