advice on snorkeling trips

My husband and I are going on out first trip to Oahu in March. We have run across snorkel trips like Captain Bob's Adventure cruises, and etc., and we would like advice on which snorkel trip to take. Thanks.

If you are staying in Waikiki definitely take a bus tour to Hanamu Bay because if you try to drive yourself you will have to get there at 6am to get in before the park fills up and the parking lot closes. Plus it's cheap...only like 7 bucks and worth it.

There is a new snorkel boat below haleiwa that takes you past above the north shore and you snorkel with dolphins. Ask around the name just drawing a blank right now.

shark's cove on the north shore of oahu has good visibility, neat underwater topography, and good numbers of fish spp. doing their business (snowflake moray, trumpet fish, some nice little corals, territorial displays by various butterfly fish, etcetcetc) - downside is of course, seasonal weather - winter "perfect-for-surfing" weather makes shark's cove out of bounds - not sure March is gonna be good for you, but check locally when you get there. One other thing, the actual approach into the water is a LITTLE, uh, hilly - old volcanic humps demand a few yards' worth of mountain-goat or use-yer-hands to get into the water - nice clear, calm ankle-deep area to put on yer fins at the bottom tho.
