Maui Kai or Neolani condo?

Ok, some background first - we are first time visitors to Hawaii; Loves to do outdoor activities and driving; don't want to stay in resorts - but more like locals.

Now, I understand Maui Kai and Neolani condos are not directly comparable. But if someone can share plus/minus of each place, it would be a great help. So far, I liked ground floor @Neolani and higher floor facing ocean @Maui kai.

Thanks in advance ;-)

Does the Noelani condo have a/c? This would be important to me in a ground floor unit since you likely wouldn't want to leave doors unlocked at night, in order to leave a screen door open.

I like that Maui Kai is a ways back from L. Honopiilani road and therefore less traffic noise.

Which building are you looking at for Noelani?

How do the unit sizes compare at each?

We stayed at Noelani and loved it! Small and quiet. No A/C but shutter type windows that allow airflow while the doors remain locked. We were on the ground floor and kept cool while hearing the ocean which is RIGHT there!

Warning this allows some noise in, we had earplugs and slept great. Easy to walk to the Farmers's Market

Store, which we loved! Great homemade salsa and dips! We grilled dinner by the pool one night and they have an herb garden with many varieties for guests to use. We stayed in unit 108 and we were very happy!
