Maui Banyon, Maui Kamole or Kamole Sands!!! |
|
We will be heading to Kihei, Maui in January 06 with another couple. We are presently trying to decide where to stay and have narrowed it down to 3 places. The Maui Banyon, the Kamole Sands or the Maui Kamole. If anyone has any advice about any of these places, I would be interested on hearing it. The Kamole Sands and the Maui Kamole both sound like they have beautiful tropical garden settings. Have no information about this on the Maui Banyon. If you had a choice of these 3 places, where would you stay? Thanks Report as inappropriate |

go to greatrentals.com or cyberrentals.com -- these offer LOTS of private owner to owner condos at all of these with tons of pictures and property discriptions. the prices can't be beat from the owners either. We are honeymooning at the kamole sands in an oceanfront condo in march. this property has pool, hot tub, tennis, lots of gardens etc..... good luck Report as inappropriate

"We are honeymooning at the kamole sands in an oceanfront condo in march. " I am sorry to tell you this Critter, but there are no oceanfront units at Kam Sands. Between you and the ocean, depending on the building you are in, are one of two other condo complexes, Maui Parkshore or Haleakala Shores, a parking lot, South Kihei Road, a public parking lot, and a grassy beach park. It is still very convenient to the beach, but you won't lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf, or be able to watch for whales from your lanai, if that is what you envision. Lynn, all hree of these are in the same area, across from either Kam II or Kam III beach parks. The units I have seen at Maui Banyan are nice, typical timeshare tropical decor. They are nice for two couples because you can get a one bedroom and an adjoining single lockout. That gives the second couple their own private suite with a mini kitchenette. Kam Sands units I have seen vary a lot, depending on the owner, but the property is nice with lots of foliage, ternnis courts, pools. They have evening entertainment by the pool. I don't think I have ever been in Maui Kama`ole, but I asm sure that someone else who posts here will be have some experience with that complex. Report as inappropriate

The Maui Kamole has very beautiful grounds and two pools. We stayed @ H209 last year. The veiw is very good and the condo was excellent. It is located across Keihi Rd., but it is only a short walk to the beach @ Kamaole III and the condos in the front have good views. Try www.mauiownercondos.com. These are owned by different individuals, but our dealings have all been very positive with two of them. Have a great a great vacation. Report as inappropriate

hi - my mistake, i meant oceanview - we are in building 5 i think but according to all of the pictures and guestbook comments they all talk about seeing ocean sunsets from the Lani so i hope that is correct! i better check again! we looked at so many i started to get lost! We still have time to switch - what would you recomend sands or sunset? Report as inappropriate

Could we get an update on this thread? Surely there are many more people who have stayed at the Maui Kamaole and Kamaole Sands. From the reviews, it appears that the Sands is rated well below the other comples. Just wondering why... Report as inappropriate

Stayed at Kamaole Sands and liked it very much. The key is to get a recently refurbished unit. Posted a review if you care to read it. Ken Report as inappropriate

We have stayed at both the Kamaole Sands & Maui Kamaole & are returning to stay at the Maui Kamaole. We prefer the layout & the grounds more at MK than KS. We like quiet, clean & roomy condos & the MK doesn't disappoint. Report as inappropriate

We just got back from HNL ,but stayed at the Maui Kamole for 5 nights...All I can say it is better than the 4 star hotel we stayed at in Waikiki. Report as inappropriate
