It is scheduled to start in Sept. They are redoing the lobby and spa. You can call the hotel and ask.I'm sure they will have things under control but I know from construction going on at other resorts it was bothersome. You just won't know until you get there if it bothers you personally. You might be staying completely on the other side of the lobby. If it is terrible please post right away.

I mailed to the hotel and that was their reply, I qoute:

"The Princeville Resort will be renovating their facilities starting mid March 2008 and is scheduled to be completed in January 2009..."

Good to know as last I heard when I was there 3 weeks ago the renovations for the lobby and spa would begin in Sept. Room renovations would begin in spring. Maybe someone who JUST got back can update as well.

I am going in Sept. Are the rooms as bad as others have posted? We got a really good rate and am wondering if it is because the rooms are in desperate need of redo, or because of renov.

Gosh I am not sure about the rooms. I walked through the lower floor on my way to lunch in May and I peeked in one room and it was OK! I've heard some rooms are in better shape than others.I know they are offering really good incentives right now(I got one in the mail as well) as they want to pitch the Westin timeshare opening on Kauai next year. I think the Princeville is a great hotel and they wouldn't be able to survive unless they planned out this remodel to accomodate guests.

I just spoke with an employee of the Princeville Hotel and renovations are to begin in March. The bad news is it will impact the pool and many of the restaurants. They have been told the pool will be closed for "months". If anyone is over there or just got back can you confirm this? Thanks.

I went throught US Air for a package deal. I fly out of Philly. The total for 8 nights at Princeville and air is approx $3800 for two of us.

Luxury Collection's Princeville Resort closing for renovations starting in September 2008 until April 2009. Then, it will be St. Regis.
