Exactly, I have seen the old news films of the wind causing the undulations and whipping, of the bridge, and then pretty much falling apart, and crashing into the water.

On TV, I caught just one of those tape messages that skim along the bottom of the tv screen......." tacoma narrows bridge collapses"

That was it. Nothing else.

Perhaps it was, as they tend to do....remind us of some tragedy that happened in the past on this particular date. Hope that is what it was.
