Dog friendly?

Is the Dells area dog-friendly at all? I’m not talking about water parks and amusement parks obviously, but what about everything else? Such as dog-friendly lodging? And restaurants with outdoor seating that allow dogs?

and if you mean their own lodging we had a change of plans once and it worked out for our dogs to go here vs. being with family while away: http://www.pamperedpaws.net/ It sounds like you fully want them by your side which is great but if you wanted a good alternative this would be one. For us it was just one night as we were passing through. We would recommend them I was impressed with the facility.

You might want to check out Devil's Lake State Park. I seem to recall a "dog friendly" beach area (apart from the main beach). There was also a paved trail going around the lake that I saw people walking their (leashed) dogs on.

we live nearby and have had our dog with us as we walked around the downtown area. we didn't go into the shops with her of course, but she was welcomed to sit outdoors at the Riverwalk Pub with out any issues at all. We have also had her at the Green Owl which is not downtown, but off the beaten path a bit and has a nice outdoor seating area (she loves it at both places) Seems like most places with outdoor seating don't have a problem with well behaved dogs sitting with their owners. We do always call ahead and make sure, but have never been turned down yet. Devil's Lake is a great place to hike with your dog. There is also a wonderful dog park in nearby Baraboo if you need to run off some steam.

The Green Owl will let you have a leashed dog with you if you sit in the patio.
