May a good time to go?

Is May a good month to go? We are going from a Wednesday to a Saturday. We have a 4 year old and an almost 2 year old.

I am sorry I should mention we have reserved a condo at the Wilderness, through timeshare glacier canyon. We love these and love the ful kitchens. Last year we went in March and it was soooo crowded.

March was crowded due to Spring Break. You can tell how crowded the WIlderness is expected to be by looking at their rates for the days you will be there. Cheaper rates mean less crowds. Midweek is a good time to go; rates are lower when kids are in school.

mid-week is always a great time to go even in peak season compared to weekend crowds. May is before the waterparks fully are in operation so it's a less busy time especially when kids are still in school. Sounds like you've chosen a good time. Other things like the Ducks and other attractions are open by then as well too. You may enjoy Wisconsin Deer Park.

I was thinking about the Deer Park. It sounds like something that would be fun to do to take a break from the waterpark. Especially by Friday when it may get more busy.

I think May is a great time to go to the Dells if you can make it work. There will not be big crowds as the outdoor waterparks will not be open. Some of the outdoor "dry" activities will be running though -- boat tours, ducks, mini golf. Hours may be unpredictable, you you might want to call ahead if you have your heart set on something.

Have a great time!

We took our then 3 year old to the Dells in May. It was a good time, we also stayed in Glacier Canyon. We went to the Deer Park, on the Ducks ride, walked downtown and shopped. It was still a little chilly but nice with jackets. Your little one may be too young for the Ducks as it's loud, pretty bumpy, and you can get wet. But the boat tour on the river would be really nice for you guys. Have fun!

Forgot to add, there was a good amount of people around but it wasn't crowded at all!
