Best hotel near Miller Park and the Casino

Help! I have never been to Milwaukee. Am traveling there in April to see a Brewers game and interested in going to the casino. I need to know the best hotel to stay in with the best location to get to Miller Park and the casino. Please advise. Thank you.

Miller Park is maybe 3 miles west of downtwon Milwaukee. The casino is between Miller Park and downtown. There are no hotels within walking distance of either.

A downtown hotel would be a good choice. If you are looking for a lower budget option, or don't like downtown locations there are some nice hotels in Brookfield or near the airport.

All this assumes you will have a car. If you won't have a car a downtown hotel would definitely be your best bet as you can get shuttles to Miller Park and the casino.

Thank you. I will have a car and am looking for a real nice hotel in downtown. Are they all really old? What is the Pfister like?

The Pfister is a classy old hotel. There is a modern tower, but the original portion and grand lobby are over 100 years old. It is a very nice hotel.

Other options include the Hotel Metro, which is a very trendy, boutique type hotel. There is also a Hyatt, Wyndham and Hilton in downtown Milwaukee. There is also a Marriott Residence Inn. All have attached parking ramps and/or valet parking.

Milwaukee is easy to drive around. You might run into some traffic coming and going to Miller Park, but other than that it is easy. The Potowatami casino has some good entertainment, so if you have time you might check to see if someone is playing while you are in town.

Give the newly renovated Ambassador a shot. They also have free shuttle service.

pretty good advice so far. Many of the downtown hotels have shuttles to the casino, and if you stay at a hotel downtown on Wisconsin avenue, there's a shuttle/city bus that goes direct to Miller Park.

High class: Pfister/Hotel Metro

Its difficult recommending hotels in a city that you live in and only visit on a limited basis. Have stayed at the Pfister and it is top notch, though I suspect Hotel Metro is probably a little better. Wyndam, Hilton and Hyatt are probably a notch below. Hilton or the newly redone Ambassador are probably pretty good options. People are kind of holding their breath with the Ambassador Hotel, it looks great and I'm sure it is, but the neighborhood is slowly coming around, I emphasize slowly.

I, like everyone else would suggest the Ambassador or Hotel Metro. ALso, the Residence Inn downtown is really nice and on the Riverwalk.
