I am taking my 87 year old mother to Lewisburg WV for Christmas. Also, she has never seen the Greenbriar and I thought it might give her a lift to see the lights. She walks with a walker, but I would like for her to see the bunker tour and do the "tea". Does anyone have any suggestions for restaurants Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I hope someone from the area will give me some ideas on how to make her feel comfortable, but get a taste of what life is at the Greenbriar. We are staying at a hotel in Lewisburg that has a pool. She will like that. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

I would certainly recommend the General Lewis Inn for dining. I'm sure that it decorated beautifully this time of year. Here's their website: http://www.generallewisinn.com/dining/

I would also recommend spending some time shopping/ dining in downtown Lewisburg. Here's a website with more info on the shops and restaurants: http://www.downtownlewisburg.com/

There is an amazing restaurant there (with a goofy name) that you've just got to try. Check out these TripAdvisor reviews for "Food and Friends" tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g59251-d51…

There is the Carnegie Hall of WV with concerts, shows, art exhibits, etc. http://www.carnegiehallwv.com/

There is the North House Museum that covers the Revolutionary War era when Lewisburg was created. They are decorated for Christmas at this time: http://www.greenbrierhistorical.org/
